Occupational orders

This is an order which enforces which party has the right to live in the home, who may be excluded from it and who can enter it.

It can for example be used to gain the right to return to a property if your spouse has changed the locks and is denying you access, or is can be used to help clarify the right for one party to remain in the house for the time being and how the bills are going to be paid.

They are orders to regulate the short- term arrangements while long term arrangements are being resolved. They are usually sought in the context of domestic abuse although they do not have to be.
