Celebrations as legal firm expands facilities in Cornwall
It’s been a year of growth and development for one of Cornwall’s brightest law firms, which is capping off a year of expansion with the opening of larger offices in St Austell.
Staff and clients of Charles French & Co celebrated the successful completion of an ambitious year of growth with the popping of Champagne corks at the opening of the new Fore Street, St Austell office, this month. The new office, with improved facilities for meeting clients, is just doors away from the old address.
The celebrations mark the successful completion of an important growth plan that began earlier this year with the firm’s Truro office expanding from one floor in Lemon Street to a three-floor waterside office on the Truro River on Newham Road.
The firm has been growing its client base through word of mouth referral and recommendation as well as becoming involved in sponsorship of sporting organisations in Cornwall including St Austell Cricket Club, Truro Half Marathon and St Austell RFC. The new premises have come as a result of a period of sustained growth in the business.
Solicitor Charles French founded the firm in 2007. It has now grown into a 25-strong team of law experts delivering legal advice to clients across a wide range of sectors in Cornwall. The firm has five directors based in its three offices in Truro, St Austell and Mevagissey and its team handles matters in commercial property, residential conveyancing and dispute resolution as well as in wills, probate and trusts.
The journey to the firm’s success has included the successful merger of Melville, Mitchell & Bailey Solicitors in 2009, which had been providing legal services in Mevagissey for more than 30 years.
Charles French said: “This period of growth has been all about ensuring we can continue to provide the best quality legal work and advice to existing and new clients. Throughout the expansion, the firm’s objective has remained the same; to be a commercially-minded firm that provides its clients with an efficient and cost-effective service.”
“Our clients know that we work hard to ensure the work we do is of a very high standard and we have been working to make sure we have good quality premises to echo the quality of the work done by our team. We look forward to welcoming our clients to the new premises in Truro and St Austell and of course to the existing offices in Mevagissey.”
