As of the 8th July 2020, the government introduced new guidelines for Stamp Duty Land Tax. If you purchase a residential property up to the sum of £500,000.00 then there will be no stamp duty payable (unless you are subject to the surcharge rates). These measures will last until the 31st March 2021.
